This summer it seems like, everywhere you go, you see cold brew coffee. You walk past your national donut or coffee shop retailer, you see cold brew. You go to your local grocery store, and you see SKU’s of cold brew coffee bottles. And if you’re really paying attention, then there’s even a shot that you’ve seen Nitro Cold Brew Coffee. Everyone asks me; “What is cold brew coffee?”, or better yet, “What is Nitro Cold Brew Coffee?” And why is it becoming so popular!? Cold brew coffee is simply a recipe of ground coffee steeped in cold water for 12-24 hours. At no time does hot water touch the coffee grounds. Once the desired Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) is...

We left off discussing how single serve coffee saves us time in regards to the brewing process… And time spent brewing the coffee is just the beginning. You then spend time cleaning – the pot itself, the filter and used grounds, measuring spoons, coffee drips and grounds that have spilled on counters and floors. Thus, there’s potential for a lot of mess. With single-serve, you simply throw the pod away and you’re done. The old-school brewing method lends itself to the potential for leftover coffee. With single-serve, coffee drinkers can make exactly how much coffee they need. No longer does un-consumed coffee go down the drain. You want a cup, make one cup. You want two cups, make two cups,...

Single serve…the one-cup wonder. It has taken the market by storm and it’s no surprise. For decades we have woken up each morning (perhaps after hitting the snooze…a few times) to start our routine. We shower, brush our teeth, get dressed and turn on that beloved pot. And as we are about to fill up our second cup of java goodness, the hustle and bustle of our day interferes, denying us that refill. We cringe and internally scream “Noooo!” as we pour the remaining coffee (might as well be gold) down the sink into the coffee wasteland below. But then, suddenly, a hero emerges before our weepy eyes; The answer to our prayers. He is small and mighty and sized...

Welcome to our blog, Brew All About It! To get our blog journey started it only seems fair to start with how Law Coffee came to be. So, here goes… Let’s journey back to the year 1909. Up steps Walter B. Law who had recently left Wall Street as a tea broker. Walter lived in Dunellen, NJ and began roasting coffee in the barn at his home, name “Shadowbrook”. He traveled house-to-house in a horse drawn wagon selling his freshly ground coffee. On his sales calls Walter brought along with him his favorite marketing tool, a pill crusher, which he used to crush the coffee beans, releasing the coffee aroma under the prospective buyer’s nose. Soon enough Walter’s coffee business...
